Unmittelbar neben dem Haus fließt der Wilkebach, welcher den Weg zu einer der schönsten Aussichtspunkte, der Wilkeaussicht sowie dem Steinbruchpfad weist. Durch die Nähe zur Elbe bietet sich ein wunderschönes Panorama, welches vom Balkon oder Garten bestaunt werden kann.
Die Stadt Wehlen dient als idealer Ausgangspunkt für sämtliche Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten der Sächsischen Schweiz. Der direkt vor dem Haus liegende Elberadweg führt Sie dabei auf entspanntem Wege zu sämtlichen Zielen und Abenteuern im Elbsandsteingebirge. Gut zu erreichen sind von hier unter anderem Prag, Dresden, Meißen, Radebeul oder das Osterzgebirge.

Die komplett neu sanierte Villa Waldfrieden befindet sich an der Elbe in Schmilka, einem Ortsteil von Bad Schandau, direkt neben dem Bio-Hotel Helvetia. Ein baubiologisch saniertes Denkmal aus der Jahrhundertwende mit prächtigen Holzbalkonen, auf der Sonnenseite der Elbe inmitten einer 2 Hektar großen Parkanlage mit eigener Elbwiese, Strand und mit Blick auf die berühmten Schrammsteine gelegen. Eine Gartenanlage wie an den oberitalienischen Seen mit alten und seltenen Gehölzen, schönen Parkwegen, Ruhebänken, Liegestühlen und alten Zypressen, die abends einen würzigen Duft verbreiten, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die extravaganten Interieurs der Doppelzimmer und Suiten sind das Ergebnis der zahlreichen Reisen der Gastgeber. Ferienhof zur Linde: Look forward to a family-friendly vacation domicile in our 4-sides-holiday farm. Built in the year 1797, affectionately reorganized through the last years still family-run since a long time. 2 completely, modern furnished vacation homes are waiting for you and invite to relaxe on the large sun terrace with BBQ fire-place. For good evenings, off tourist activities, a Sauna, Billard, Dart, ping-pong table and childrens playing equipment are available. Parking lot and roll service are included. Interested? The holiday house lies on a former barnyard in the municipality Lohmen. On our property we still do agriculture to a small extent, while you can enjoy our farm animals. Our property is in the middle of the village at a very calm road.
The holiday house consists of 3 vacation homes for 2-4 persons (additional beds possible). All dwellings are equipped with Sat TV. Towels and bedlinen are inclusive. The renting is possible during the whole year. Moreover we have a terrace with BBQ possibility and parking lots.

Our hotel is situated directly at the slope of the Elbe; wonderful view over the Elbe valley from the Lilienstein to the fortress Königstein. The reception is open day and night. From 7-10 o'clock breakfast buffett, from 12 o'clock our restaurant is opened with panorama pavilion and during beautiful weather the terrace.
Good connection to public transportation – 600m away you have rapid-transit railway station, ship and ferry pier, station Festungs-express and Bastei-clamber. In-house parking lots are available sufficiently. In the house are sauna, whirlpool, bicycle rental and a sales exhibition of erzgebirgian folk art. Dogs are welcome.

The dwelling offers an optimal starting point for hikes into Saxon Switzerland.
Well-known destinies like the small Bärenstein, Rauenstein, the health resort Rathen with Bastei and fortress Königstein can be visited in half or full-day trips.
The state capital Dresden, the back country of Saxon Switzerland and the Bielatal valley are comfortably approachable by car, bus or rapid-transit railway. On our large south-oriented balcony you can relax in peace in the evenings.

Our Apartment is located in an new living house. It is central und quiet situated at the foot of the mountain Pfaffenstein.
From here you may like to enjoy the beautyful view over fortress Königstein and the rock needle of mountain Pfaffenstein. You also can hike both from our place.
The village Pfaffendorf and its surroundings are excellent for lovely walks and great hikes. It is also a good starting point for trips to Dresden, Stolpen or The Tschech Republik.
We rent out the apartment all year through for at least 3 nights.
