Die komplett neu sanierte Villa Waldfrieden befindet sich an der Elbe in Schmilka, einem Ortsteil von Bad Schandau, direkt neben dem Bio-Hotel Helvetia. Ein baubiologisch saniertes Denkmal aus der Jahrhundertwende mit prächtigen Holzbalkonen, auf der Sonnenseite der Elbe inmitten einer 2 Hektar großen Parkanlage mit eigener Elbwiese, Strand und mit Blick auf die berühmten Schrammsteine gelegen. Eine Gartenanlage wie an den oberitalienischen Seen mit alten und seltenen Gehölzen, schönen Parkwegen, Ruhebänken, Liegestühlen und alten Zypressen, die abends einen würzigen Duft verbreiten, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Almost 150 years ago, the "Lichtenhainer Wasserfall" was already one of the earliest famous features of the Sächsische Schweiz (Saxon Switzerland) and was the setting-off point for the first hikers who wandered on the "tourist paths" through this unique, beautiful region. The guesthouse, built in Swiss style in 1852, was, until the beginning of the 20th century, annexed to a chair-lift, pack-animal and guide´s station, so tha, to avoid the "terrible strain" of an ascent to the cow-shed, you could let yourself be carried up in the chair-lift by 2 carriers.

In Saxon Switzerland the hotel Albrechtshof is a good choice for a well and cheap vacation, celebrating or recovering in the calm nature. Very well suited for groups of all kinds. Situated in its own forest park on a light hill in the air health resort Gohrisch the atmosphere is calm and recreative. Königstein and Bad Schandau are both only 3km away. The next larger places are Pirna and Dresden. Use the advantages of Saxon Switzerland with its wonderful look-outs, over 1200 km signposted hiking trails and over 120 sights of baroque which can be seen on a steamboat trip. Or you follow the traces of historical Dresden with its rebuild Church of Our Lady, or get inspired by visiting a performance in the Semper opera or one of the many attractive museums. Of course the modern Dresden is really quite worth a visit as well.

Saupsdorf is situated at the outskirts of Saxon Switzerland and very calm, convenient and offers perfect recreation. It is a very good starting point for hikes into the Saxonian and also Bohemian Switzerland. Moreover our state capital Dresden can be approached in 50 km and it is just 18km to the health resort Bad Schandau.
Our vacation home is in the middle of the village, but not directly lain at the road.
It is in the ground floor with seperate entrance.
An apartment and a sleep area with mini kitchen,
Seperate room with bunk bed is part of the dwelling.
Heating, Lounge and BBQ are also present.

We offer a cosy holiday flat for 2 persons, in a sunny and calm, but central location, directly at the Elbradweg, with view on the Lilienstein. Our Holiday flat (24sqm) consists of a practical combined apartment/sleep area, a small kitchen, Shower/WC and is equipped with SAT TV, DVD player and Radio/CD. It has a separate entrance and is parterre. In addition a half-sheltered terrace with wood garden furniture.
Your car can stay in the parking lot of our property.
Gladly you can rent our bicycles for a bike trip on the Elbradweg bike route.
Please respect that in the Holiday flat smoking is not allowed.

Our holiday flat and guestrooms are located in a calm position, near a forest, at the end of the village Prossen.
Our vacation rentals are usually preferred by little groups, families but as well by single travellers. For guests who come by car we have enough parking space available.
Our house also includes a renting service for bikes, cars and minibusses. The ones who favor a more adventurous exploration of the surrounding area we offer four-wheelers for rent.

Our hotel is situated directly at the slope of the Elbe; wonderful view over the Elbe valley from the Lilienstein to the fortress Königstein. The reception is open day and night. From 7-10 o'clock breakfast buffett, from 12 o'clock our restaurant is opened with panorama pavilion and during beautiful weather the terrace.
Good connection to public transportation – 600m away you have rapid-transit railway station, ship and ferry pier, station Festungs-express and Bastei-clamber. In-house parking lots are available sufficiently. In the house are sauna, whirlpool, bicycle rental and a sales exhibition of erzgebirgian folk art. Dogs are welcome.
