Die Villa aus den 30er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts war einst das mondäne Wohnhaus des ehemaligen Bürgermeisters Arno Hohlfeld.
Heute sind hier zwei Etagenwohnungen für je bis zu 4 Personen mit dem berühmten "Dolomitenblick" zu den Schrammsteinen. Das stilsichere Haus mit seinen ausladenden überdachten Balkonen und den traditionellen Fensterläden ist umfangreich möbliert mit voll ausgestatteten Küchen, sonnigem Wohnzimmer und separaten Schlafzimmern sowie eingebettet in einen Rosengarten mit Liegewiese und eigenem Elbestrand.

Die komplett neu sanierte Villa Waldfrieden befindet sich an der Elbe in Schmilka, einem Ortsteil von Bad Schandau, direkt neben dem Bio-Hotel Helvetia. Ein baubiologisch saniertes Denkmal aus der Jahrhundertwende mit prächtigen Holzbalkonen, auf der Sonnenseite der Elbe inmitten einer 2 Hektar großen Parkanlage mit eigener Elbwiese, Strand und mit Blick auf die berühmten Schrammsteine gelegen. Eine Gartenanlage wie an den oberitalienischen Seen mit alten und seltenen Gehölzen, schönen Parkwegen, Ruhebänken, Liegestühlen und alten Zypressen, die abends einen würzigen Duft verbreiten, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die extravaganten Interieurs der Doppelzimmer und Suiten sind das Ergebnis der zahlreichen Reisen der Gastgeber. Our vacation home is situated air health resort Gohrisch, between Bad Schandau and Königstein on a plateau (300m above sea level) surrounded by forests. Main destinations for hiking are Gohrischstein, Papststein and Pfaffenstein can be reached by foot. Our separate vacations home (48 square meters) is in a calm side street, 3 minutes away from the forest however also close to the local centre. In Gohrisch you will find several good restaurants with a tasteful menu. A parking bay for your car is included on our property. Our Elbsandsteingebirge is worth a journey at each season, we are already looking forward to your visit.

At the base of the Lilienstein at the Elbe, with wonderful view on the fortress, beautiful hiking routes, strewing fruit meadows, sheep, adorable fishing places, campfires, a playground and the famous Elbradweg bike route. For a beautiful time and for recovering after long hikes you find a common room with fire-place, a large kitchen, games area inside the barn for all age groups and a climbing wall. The family-led land hotel is situated in the municipality Gohrisch. Hiking and groups of seniors are cordially welcome with good discounts on groups. Organization of day schedules, BBQ and much more. Friendly service in our restaurant with fresh regional kitchen. Seasonal change of menu before Easter time (visible on our homepage). On public holidays there will be an additional menu with breakfast buffet and half-board with 3 course meal with 2 choosable main courses. If desired we prepare lunch packets for you.
Our 28 guest rooms are all equipped with Shower/WC, SAT-TV and telephone.

You live in a comfortable vacation home, which is equipped for 2 the persons. It has a modern heating, telephone and a SAT-TV. The vacation home can be used from May to October. Of course a Carport is present. In good weather the meadow and a pavilion with BBQ possibility can be used. Furthermore also a summer-house is available. Bedlinen and towels belong also to the equipment. Our vacation home is an ideal point of expeditions of all kinds: bike, hiking and tours in the region of the Bielatal as well as the entire Saxon Switzerland. A bus stop of the line to Königstein is only 3 minutes away. The city Königstein (10km away) is a popular point to start trips on the Elbe to Dresden and Czech Republic.
