Welcome to the village Waltersdorf, a borough of the town Bad Schandau. Waltersdorf is located beautifully in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, also known as the Saxon Switzerland.The most popular table mountain of Saxon Switzerland, the Lilienstein, is in close proximity. Likewise alot of other attractions worth visiting are the famous lookout-point Bastei, the health resort Rathen, the Gamrig mountain, the Polenztal valley and of course the town Bad Schandau. For climbing and hiking tours, our house is an ideal starting point.

From our 3-Star Hotel the Elbe river and the cure promenade can be reached within just 10 minutes by foot. The hotel has 20 double and 1 single rooms with altogether 39 beds. We offer comfortably equipped atmosphere with genuine wood furniture and shower, toilet, telephone, radio, TV and Internet connection (Internet not available in every room).
Please have a seat in our restaurant (70 seats) or in our hunting style decorated winter garden with a wonderful view on the Elbe river. Or enjoy a traditional wine from Meißen or a relaxing beer on our beautiful large sun terrace (60 seats).

Surrounded by nature, Apartmenthaus Saxonia is set in a beautiful historic building just 400 m from the center of Bad Schandau. It a spacious terrace and free wired internet. The country-style apartments come with free WiFi, satellite TV and a living room with sofas. Each one is stylishly decorated with chandeliers and elegant antiques, and they all come with either a balcony or a terrace.
Guests can prepare food in the fully equipped modern kitchen, which also features a small dining area. On sunny days, guests are free to enjoy the barbecue facilities on the terrace.

Our holiday flat and guestrooms are located in a calm position, near a forest, at the end of the village Prossen.
Our vacation rentals are usually preferred by little groups, families but as well by single travellers. For guests who come by car we have enough parking space available.
Our house also includes a renting service for bikes, cars and minibusses. The ones who favor a more adventurous exploration of the surrounding area we offer four-wheelers for rent.

Ein Besuch lohnt sich trotzdem wegen der Nationalpark-Informationsstelle im Eishaus.

Die komplett neu sanierte Villa Waldfrieden befindet sich an der Elbe in Schmilka, einem Ortsteil von Bad Schandau, direkt neben dem Bio-Hotel Helvetia. Ein baubiologisch saniertes Denkmal aus der Jahrhundertwende mit prächtigen Holzbalkonen, auf der Sonnenseite der Elbe inmitten einer 2 Hektar großen Parkanlage mit eigener Elbwiese, Strand und mit Blick auf die berühmten Schrammsteine gelegen. Eine Gartenanlage wie an den oberitalienischen Seen mit alten und seltenen Gehölzen, schönen Parkwegen, Ruhebänken, Liegestühlen und alten Zypressen, die abends einen würzigen Duft verbreiten, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Zu unserem Ferienobjekt gehört noch ein Bungalow mit 2 getrennten Schlafzimmern, kleiner Küche und Aufenthaltsraum. Das Grundstück befindet sich direkt im romantischen Kirnitzschtal in ruhiger Lage am Wasser und bietet ideale Bedingungen für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Mit der historischen Kirnitzschtalbahn kommen Sie bequem durch das Kirnitzschtal bis zum Lichtenhainer Wasserfall und zu anderen Ausgangspunkten für interessante Wanderungen durch die einzigartige Natur und Felsenwelt. In Bad Schandau haben Sie gute Anbindungen zu allen öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln wie Bus, S-Bahn und Elbschiffahrt. Das Zentrum von Bad Schandau erreichen Sie von uns aus in ca.15 Minuten zu Fuß.

We would like to invite you to our comfortably furnished apartment (for 2-5 persons) in the village Mittelndorf, located in the Saxon Switzerland. Our village is in close proximity to the spa town Bad Schandau and is ideal starting point for hikes and excursions in the Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. Here is also a transportation link with the bus, heading towards the large district town Sebnitz and Bad Schandau.
