Welcome to the village Waltersdorf, a borough of the town Bad Schandau. Waltersdorf is located beautifully in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, also known as the Saxon Switzerland.The most popular table mountain of Saxon Switzerland, the Lilienstein, is in close proximity. Likewise alot of other attractions worth visiting are the famous lookout-point Bastei, the health resort Rathen, the Gamrig mountain, the Polenztal valley and of course the town Bad Schandau. For climbing and hiking tours, our house is an ideal starting point.

Die komplett neu sanierte Villa Waldfrieden befindet sich an der Elbe in Schmilka, einem Ortsteil von Bad Schandau, direkt neben dem Bio-Hotel Helvetia. Ein baubiologisch saniertes Denkmal aus der Jahrhundertwende mit prächtigen Holzbalkonen, auf der Sonnenseite der Elbe inmitten einer 2 Hektar großen Parkanlage mit eigener Elbwiese, Strand und mit Blick auf die berühmten Schrammsteine gelegen. Eine Gartenanlage wie an den oberitalienischen Seen mit alten und seltenen Gehölzen, schönen Parkwegen, Ruhebänken, Liegestühlen und alten Zypressen, die abends einen würzigen Duft verbreiten, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Purchase possibilities such as butchers, bakers, purchase market (Penny and Lidl) and a restaurant are reachable within few minutes walking. A good connection to the public transportation system with bus, train and the piers ensure fast travelling.
The border to Czech Republic is only 10 km away. Due to the rapid-transit railway station in Bad Schandau you can also easily visit the art city Dresden.
